Description
This unit is used to determine the coefficient of static friction of most packaging materials. As the plane rises, the first sign of movement from the sled is detected by the operator and a recording of the relevant angle of the incline is noted. The test is frequently referred to as a slide angle. The coefficient of friction is numerically equivalent to the tangent of that angle.
